Does it bother you when obese people use the electric wheelchair/shopping carts provided by supermarkets?

Question by Independent Ollie: Does it bother you when obese people use the electric wheelchair/shopping carts provided by supermarkets?
I used to see older people that had a hard time walking using them but now I only see people of rotund proportions that are just too lazy to walk using them and it really bothers me. What about you?

well I think that they have a great difficulty getting around without the chair....even though they could use the exercise.
My aunt is one of those people and I used to think it was just dumb, but one time I saw how hard it was for her without the chair and I understood....

  1. I think you're making a really ugly leap of assumption in saying that they are too lazy to walk. Unless you know the individual personally ( which you obviously don't because then you might be privy to their personal health issues ) you cannot conclusively say that they are using the cart because they are lazy. Obesity can lead to a multitude of health issues concerning the heart and lungs. I would rather see the person riding around on a cart than to find them face down in the egg case because of the Big MI.

  2. I agree. They are too obese to walk because they do not walk. As a matter of interest, the VA has changed the policy on this matter. If you can walk, no wheelchair. It has been determined to be better for the patient. We are talking no leg{s} here. Seems to me we all need to exercise.

  3. what makes me madder is when people with no disabilities park in the disabled spots

  4. In case you haven't been paying attention, MOST AMERICANS ARE FAT! Do you think those with disabilities have somehow escaped from this plague of fat? We all got fat.

Now imagine you do have some disability that stops you from running, or walking, or even standing. Now, exercise is very limited and it becomes even easier to pack on the pounds.

Now imagine some thick-headed dolt oogling you at the store, sending mental vibes of how you're somehow a fat liar and a fat cheater. You can see how disgusted they are to see you in your weakness there, doing your best to do what you can do for yourself and your family with the aid of an electric wheel chair.

The store buys the chairs so the disabled can shop there. If you did not buy the chairs and if do not need a chair, then WTF are you doing up in their business anyhow? Who made you the handicap monitor?

If you see one of these fat lazy slobs zooming around and it really bugs you, grow 1 ball and go tell the store manager; or grow a set of balls and go right up to the fat slob and ask them the nature of their "so called" disability - then you can use your extensive medical diagnosis abilities to look them over and pronounce your findings. But no, you and your chick sh*t kind just whine behind their backs and make rude comments from three isles away as you scurry off, embarrassed as you know you should be!

All you judgmental bungs make me puke! You probably call yourselves Christians too, huh? I do believe right about now Jesus might pipe up with something along the lines of "get the log out from your own eye instead of trying to get the splinter from your sisters eye".

  5. IT could be you--I'm glad its not me--I am physically disabled--and I am not offended by it

only a small number of obese people are that way through their own fault

many have medical condtions that cause it--or the weight gaiin was caused by medications for anotehr condition

peopel who are significantly obese have heart and respirartory probelms as well as msucle and skeltal problems
