  4. It doesn't come to mind, at the moment, but there are a few small motor demos on here, or somewhere. I think think a couple of them are pretty helpful in that area. I'm not sure if this one was very powerful. My new one has more.

  5. NOICE! I was thinking about using a shop vac motor as a source of a powerful small electric motor. I'm still unsure if I can connect other things to the drive/power shaft besides the fan.

  10. Higher quality motors have ball bearings at each end, sometimes they cut corners and put bushings in. If you take the motor apart further you can sometimes actually soak the bushing in oil and it may absorb the lubricant, if it is a ball bearing you can carefully remove the rubber seal and get some lubricant in there, or better yet - replace the bearing. That's more involved.

  14. yeah def the bearings shopvac brand may still be made in the usa and im all for buy america made stuff but shopvac brand stuff is tot garbage buy craftsman shopvacs r way better
