  2. Thanks for the info thus far! I actually decided to go with the multi colored. lol Anyway, it came with a remote too that controls what it does and the color, etc. I'll look for the regulator you mentioned. I think I get how to put it on the chair. It's adhesive, right? And the kind I bought said you could cut it into strips of 9 lights without messing it up. The only thing is I'm not sure exactly how it's hooked up.

  3. Single color is certainly easier than multicolor with custom programs as shown in the video. For a single color you can get a 12V light strip from eBay or Amazon and then tie it into a battery on the electric chair along with a switch to turn it on or off. But since many chairs are 24V, you will also need to get a 24V to 12V DC-DC voltage regulator. You can also find these on eBay.

  4. That is so cool! Someone told me before you can use LED lights on a wheelchair before, but I wasn't sure how. Can you send me some simple info about how to do it? I found some LED strips on ebay that I might buy. I'm debating on multi color or purple.

  5. I use a programmable controller called an ATMega328. It is the same processor that is used by the popular Arduino boards. I write the code in C++, compile it and transfer it to the processor.

  6. The LED strips I used can display any color. The changing color patterns were programmed by me and flashed on a computer chip. The patterns are changed by a pushbutton by the arm rest.
