They have a range of about 30km. They could be charged up during the day at work. If powered by nuclear, solar, or hydro power there would be a great reduction in greenhouse gas as freeway fulls of cars would not be needed on the daily commute. I realise they would need minor adaptions for weather. What do others think?

When I was walking to class today two people with the wheelchairs ran me over on my foot. I was walking normally until they started to come towards me and I was trying to get away from them but they followed me and ran me over! And now my feet hurt so much and there's a big bruise on my right foot.
I was watching where I was going.

I was brisk-walking this evening to catch a movie when a gentleman in a motorized wheelchair sped by me really fast. I would guess the wheelchair had to be going somewhere between 5-10 MPH or maybe more. (I'm a fast walker and this was easily 3-5x my speed).

Made me wonder if there are max and min speeds for motorized wheelchairs?

Yes they do ,but each brand name may run somewhat different, depending on the type of wheelchair it is. I've seen them going down the road with there little flag just waving away.

Electric wheelchairs are wheelchairs that do not have to be propelled by you or someone else. They have motors and batteries that power them. Electric wheelchairs propel you with the touch of a button or joystick.

Many people are too weak to use a manual wheelchair so they invest in an electric wheelchair so they can get around with just the simple movement of pushing the joystick forward.

Some people even call them power wheelchairs because they operate on their own power source.
