Where can I buy a "Hoyer" lift to help patient to get up from bed and move to the wheelchair?

Question by Kay: Where can I buy a "Hoyer" lift to help patient to get up from bed and move to the wheelchair?
A "Hoyer" lift is a machine or gadget that is used to help lift the patient from his/her bed to get to the wheelchair. If you have other lift machines that you can suggest, please do so. If you can give me website of companies who sell these products, I will appreciate it very much.

You can buy them right over the Internet--from less than 1000 for manual, hydraulic ones to several thousand for state-of-the-art electric ones.

Just google it--I'm not sure which kind you need.

Why does my wife keep nagging me that I don't help her enough around the house?

Question by Kevin: Why does my wife keep nagging me that I don't help her enough around the house?
I mean what is the point in paying for an expensive electric wheelchair if you are still going to need to be helped around. You either want to be defined by your disability or you don't.

How can I find help to find and pay for a handicapped van?

Question by snowmom: How can I find help to find and pay for a handicapped van?
I just found out my 95 Tarus will not be able to carry my new electric wheelchair on the back. I am in no way financially able to buy a new van to be customized to carry my chair with me in it, customizing alone is costly, and been told they don't like to customize vans any older than two years old, I wonder if there are any government grants to help?
