You can use a Segway, an "electric personal assistive mobility device", 20 inches long by 25 inches wide, limited to 12.5 mph.

If you are disabled or senior, you can use a electric wheelchair.

Other than that, anything better than and including a "motorized scooter" (CVC407.5, a two-wheeled device that has handlebars, has a floorboard that is designed to be stood upon) such as a GoPed, DOES requires a driver's license.

I have been instructed to build a wooden ramp. It will be used for my father to ride up it on his electric wheelchair, so it will need to be able to hold around 450 pounds. (The chair itself is 275 pounds) What kind of wood should I get? And also, if you know how thick the wood should be, that would help too.

A moped... you don't need a DRIVERS license, but you do need a moped license, but they are like... 20 bucks. lol
